Summer in Maine truly is coming to an end which is why I encourage you to take a trip to the closest beach. Go by yourself if you have to. You will be so glad you did!
We went down to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. I am ashamed to say that this was my only trip to the beach this summer. Why does life have to be so busy? But I can honestly say that I completely relaxed and enjoyed myself. I had no place to be except right there, in the moment, at the beach with my family. It was such a nice feeling to just be living in the moment making no plans for the future. Sometimes you just have to let go in order to keep going. Does that make any sense?
I may not be the most beautiful Baywatch babe, but I have to tell you, I love this bathing suit from LL Bean! I got a ton of compliments. And I was comfortable walking around in it. I didn't have to keep tugging it down or up or any which way. And that was a good feeling. You can shop it below!
We grabbed a quick wrap style italian sandwich from the legendary Sabo's Subs. If you ever get a chance to try one, you definitely should. Such a classic sandwich. I don't know why it tasted so good. They must have a secret ingrediant. The wrap itself was unlike any wrap I have had before. It was so thin and light!
And this is Rye Beach. We took a little drive through this dreamy coastal town just to take in the beautiful scenery.
I love these antique chandeliers!
We took the coastal route home once we got into Maine and stopped at some flea markets and antique shops along the way. I thought that this was such a cool find that we came across at one Antique shop in Wiscasset. A sign from W. C. Bryant and Sons jewelry store that used to be in downtown Bangor Maine! I didn't purchase it, but I certainly wanted to. It would look very cool in my living room!
