My husband and I were so lucky to have the pleasure of spending a beautiful evening at The Bayside Inn located in the small and quaint coastal town of Boothbay Harbor, Maine. I really wish I took more pictures! I don't know if you have ever stayed at an inn before, but I have always wanted to try it. My only hesitation was that I assumed that you shared your bathroom with other people who were also staying there, which actually may be true for a lot of inns. So if that is something that might bother you, then make sure you ask that question before you book your stay. At The BaySide Inn each room as it's own bathroom facilities, which I prefer. You do however get to share the dining room, sun porch, and back deck with other couples and/or families who are staying there which is actually quite lovely. It's so nice to meet new people and get out of your own box for a while. People are good and have so much to offer.
The Innkeepers served a homemade breakfast of coffee, eggs, bacon, french toast, and fresh fruit. We ate on the sun porch and conversed with another nice couple who were visiting from Florida.
Even though the Inn had no vacancy, it was so quiet. We slept like babies in our air-conditioned room. We could see the ocean a little bit from our room. We have already booked the honeymoon suite for next July which has full ocean view. We can't wait! It's always so nice to have something to look forward to.
This was the stunning view from the back deck.
Such a peaceful place to relax. I saw ducks swimming in this area in the morning but I failed to get a photo. I am convinced that I need a camera attached to my body at all times!
A view from the front porch.
Here is a peek inside our room. Very victorian. I loved it!
I have a thing for chandeliers and this one was a beauty!
On our way to dinner. We ate at Ports of Italy which I highly recommend if you visit Boothbay Harbor. You must make a reservation though. This place is beyond busy!
